- This finance leadership position for ANZ, is a crucial finance business partnership role that demands a highly skilled professional to work closely with the commercial team in driving financial performance and achieving business objectives, while also leading the finance function. Based in Sydney, this role will be an integral part of the overall leadership team and will also play a key role within the APAC finance leadership team.
- The role will oversee day-to-day accounting functions and, also involves performance analysis and delivering insights to the ANZ team to support business management, in addition to managing accounts payable, receivable, inventory reconciliations, and coordinating payroll.
- Ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards and US GAAP regulations (or international accounting standards) is a key component of this position along with leading the annual budgeting process, long-term strategic planning, and quarterly forecasting, while driving improvements in these processes and focusing on enhancing forecasting accuracy.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the GM, the role will provide financial analysis and advice to support effective decision-making. This includes evaluating business opportunities such as marketing launches, promotional campaigns, and major marketing investments, ensuring alignment with the ANZ business strategy.
- Delivering timely and relevant financial and business insights to inform decision-making, optimising return on investment for marketing and other investments is part of this position.
- University degree in finance, accounting or business, with corporate experience in a head of finance role working in a highly commercial team in Australia.
- Proven experience in business partnering, fostering strong collaborations with commercial teams to drive informed and effective business decisions.
- CPA professional qualification and experience working for an international organisation in a matrix structure, is preferred.
- Outstanding leadership skills, with a proven track record in managing, guiding, and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Can-do, collaborative attitude, with strong interpersonal skills, is necessary.
- Exceptional numerical aptitude with the ability to quickly analyse data and translate it into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
