- The core purpose of this Territory Manager role, covering NSW & QLD, (travel to QLD 3-4 days per month only), is to increase the market share for this small portfolio of products by implementing an effective sales program, building customer relationships, providing high quality service levels to both new and existing customers, optimising hospital contracts and expanding business in this sector.
- The position is required to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual territory sales plans and develop and maintain excellent rapport and relationships with customers.
- Key customers will be based in hospitals in Sydney and Brisbane, (primarily), and will include specialist nurses, clinical nurse consultants and educators, along with community nurses that serve patients in the community and also medical supply distributors.
- You will conduct in-service training in hospitals and with key distributors.
- You will undertake analysis of sales by product groupings and provide feedback to sales managers and marketing.
- You will keep abreast of industry changes and provide feedback on competitor activities and communicate feedback to the wider team.
- You will support local and state conferences/trade displays and become a brand and product specialist.
- You will meet call activity targets and develop local strategies and objectives consistent with business and marketing plans to maximise business within NSW & QLD.
- You will use and maintain customer records and reports on Salesforce.com and complete quarterly business plans and monthly reports.
- 2+ years’ experience in hospital sales with past sales experience in the medical device/medical consumables industry.
- Preferably a degree in Science, Nursing, or Medical-related discipline.
- Empathetic but assertive, with superior selling and negotiation skills.
- Results oriented and focused on outcomes.
- Prepared to take ownership and accept accountability and responsibility for own performance.
- Able to adhere to deadlines and prioritise tasks with a ‘can-do’ approach with solving problems.
