- This Medical Device Territory Manager position aims to achieve and exceed sales targets within NSW/ACT (primarily metro Sydney), through the effective execution of a business plan; through communication, customer engagement, clinical education and technical knowledge development.
- The role will assume accountability for the development and implementation of a territory account business plan, identifying, prioritising and documenting opportunities, customer needs, key objectives and actions to achieve sales targets.
- The position will be responsible for the development of and leveraging relationships with clinicians, (primarily orthopaedic surgeons & associated theatre staff, (albeit this position IS NOT case support/theatre sales)). The role needs to build trust and understand critical priorities, setting the company apart from competitors, maximising clinician co-operation and support and establishing the company as a preferred supplier to enhance sales penetration.
- You will actively seek out new opportunities and share insights, establishing two-way communication with counterparts that will help to expand your business base along with increased market presence.
- You will deliver relevant and engaging clinical education, product training and in-use product audits, while supporting the organisation’s commitment to ongoing service, support and solution provision.
- You will contribute to the team by proactively sharing experiences and expertise, finding innovative solutions and identifying opportunities that accelerate growth and stay ahead of the competition and create more value for your customers.
- Tertiary qualifications preferred in science, nursing or business.
- Previous experience in similar sales roles in medical devices, with a clinical background; orthopaedic nursing or allied health, eg. physio, chiro, sports medicine background.
- You MUST HAVE either sold to orthopaedic surgeons or worked with orthopaedic surgeons, from a sales and/or clinical perspective. This role is NOT in ortho trauma, so does NOT require you to be on-call. You will have experience in working with and recommending a course of action to key clinicians including nurses, surgeons and other clinicians.
- You will have excellent English communication skills both verbal and written and have worked in Australia in the NSW hospital environment, in Sydney, and be an Australian citizen or have Australian PR.
